Hiring system
Why did the last hire not stick?
When the last two hires did not stick, I would look at the process before the people. Does every hire start from a blank page and a gut feeling?
Book a free 20-minute callQuestions I would ask
- Was the posting written the night before it went up?
- Did the interview go wherever the conversation went?
- What did the new person actually do on their first Monday?
I have done full-cycle hiring for a whole region, and sat through hundreds of structured interviews. What would change if every candidate got the same steps, written down, scored the same way? And what does it cost when, three weeks after a bad start, you are posting again?
What you get
- The job description and the posting, in plain words.
- Screening questions and an interview guide, with a scoring sheet so two interviewers can compare notes.
- Onboarding, so the new person knows what good looks like.
- You run every step. I never post, source, screen or interview for you: that work needs an Ontario recruiter licence.
How it ends: You keep the system and reuse it for the next role.
It starts with the Read
Before anything is built, a written reading of how your company runs. Sometimes it points somewhere else, and it says so. If the report doesn't show you something you didn't already know, tell me and I refund it.
Scope and price are set together on a free 20-minute call.
